Comparison
ALL360pi-hole
Ad blocking for every device at home, without building a Raspberry Pi.
Pi-hole is free, but it needs a Raspberry Pi, an SD card and some time with a terminal. A browser ad blocker only protects one browser. ALL1 ships with network-wide ad blocking configured, plus Home VPN, Premium VPN and 100+ apps.

The short answer
ALL1 or Pi-hole?
All three block ads. They differ in how much of your home they cover and how much work they take.
Choose Pi-hole if
- You enjoy building and tuning your own DNS filtering.
- You want the lowest possible cost and already own a Raspberry Pi.
- You only need ads blocked in one browser on one computer.
- You want full control over every blocklist and setting.
Choose ALL1 if
- You want ads and trackers blocked on every device on your Wi-Fi, including TVs and consoles, with nothing to build.
- You want the same protection away from home, through the Home VPN.
- You want Home VPN, 5 Premium VPN seats and 100+ apps on the same box, included for 5 years.
- You want a home server that can optionally work on the ALL network.

Honest
Where Pi-hole is ahead
A fair comparison says this plainly.
- Cost
- Pi-hole is free software and a Raspberry Pi is cheap. If ad blocking is all you need, it costs far less than ALL1.
- In-page ads
- Network-wide blockers work by domain. Browser extensions can also hide ads served from the same domain as the content, which DNS filtering cannot.
- Control
- Pi-hole gives tinkerers full control over every list and setting, with a large community behind it.
Earn
Blocking ads takes almost no power. ALL1 has plenty left.
DNS filtering uses a tiny share of a computer. On ALL1 the rest runs your own apps, and when there is spare compute, bandwidth or storage it can run approved workloads for verified businesses on the ALL network. You are paid for actual usage.
*50% node operator, 20% to community.
Earnings depend on real network demand, the apps you run, your uptime, bandwidth and location. They are not guaranteed and can be zero. ALL1 is sold as a personal server with bundled services, not as an investment.
You choose what runs
Set it to automatic or approve every app yourself. Anything can be stopped in one tap.
Only verified services connect
Every company and developer is vetted before reaching the network.
Apps stay in their sandbox
Each app gets only the resources it was granted. It cannot read your files or other apps.
Usage is metered, payouts follow
CPU, bandwidth and storage are measured. Your 70%* is paid in USD or USDC.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Does network-wide blocking stop every ad?+
No DNS-based blocker can. It stops ads and trackers served from known ad domains, on every device. Ads served from the same domain as the content, such as some video ads, can get through.
Can I still use a browser extension too?+
Yes. Many people combine network-wide blocking with an extension in their main browser.
Is there a subscription?+
No. ALL1 is a one-time $599 purchase. Home VPN, 5 Premium VPN seats, ad blocking and IoT integration are included for 5 years, and ALL CONNECT remote access is currently included.
Do I have to share my ALL1 with the network?+
No. Run it as a private server only, approve each network app one by one, or set it to automatic. You can stop any app in one tap.
How much can I earn?+
It depends on demand for the apps you run, your uptime, connection and location. There is no guaranteed amount and it can be zero.
